How to Decide to Arrange Wall Decorations

Decorating a wall in a room can be an exciting project when you have fun photos and artwork to put up. This process can also be frustrating if you can’t decide how to lay out these pieces. After all, there are an unlimited number of arrangements you can create. The question is, which one is the one that would look best? Also, which layout would correspond with the theme you’re going for? For tips and suggestions for making it through this project, look over these techniques and ideas from www.jpocker.com.
Where to Place Pieces

First of all, decide where you want to hang up the art. Pick a wall that you think would make a great focal point for a room. For instance, if you want the fireplace to be the first thing a viewer looks upon, set up the art on this surface or along the walls to the side. Don’t be afraid to add more embellishments to the walls in a room. They can be scattered across a space as long as there is 1 main focal point. As for the artwork you put up, use one favorite or major piece as a center point and arrange other pieces to go around it. This composition will create balance and make the room look professional and attractive.
Testing and Hanging

Part of decorating a wall is experimenting with the best arrangements. First, measure the dimensions of the wall. Tape a few pieces of newspaper together to achieve the same measurements as the wall. Lay this sheet out on the floor and place your wall decorations over them so you can experiment with arrangements. When you’ve come up with a pleasing layout, use a pencil to trace the outlines of each art piece, photo frame, plate, and other decoration. Make a mark for where you want to place the nail for each piece. Then set the large spread of newspaper against the wall and secure it in place using tape. Then proceed to hammer in the nails over the appropriate marks. Take off the newspaper and start hanging up pictures. Your end product should be to your liking.
