They Are Now A Family

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Allstate. All opinions are 100% mine.

My friend since High School just had her baby today. It is her and her husband's first child and it's a healthy baby girl! I couldn't be any happier for them especially for her, it's been one of her dreams to have a baby since she came here in America to marry her now husband three years ago and now it is finally a reality! I haven't seen the baby yet but we will be visiting her tomorrow and couldn't wait to see her and her new baby girl!

This definitely brings back the memory when I had my first child. It was such a sweet feeling to become a mom for the first time and even sweeter the second time around! Yes I have two kids of my own, two boys as a matter of fact! A seven year old and an 18-month old! I sure miss those days when they were just babies! How cute and tiny they were. Time has pass by so quickly for sure! Sometimes you don't even realize it. That's why it is very important to cherish every moment with them because they won't stay little forever.

I am fortunate enough being a stay at home mom for I get to spend more time with my kids compare to those who are working parents. I get to see them grow and learn new things everyday! I want to be there for them all the through good times and bad times just like the Allstate Good Life. Yes they are an insurance company but unlike the other insurance companies out there, they don't wait for bad things to happen to do some thing good for their customers and that's how it should be. Life is too precious to waste on some things that are nonsense! I always try to focus on more important things like my family especially my kids, even though it is really hard sometimes, I try to be as positive as I can because I know it always gets better!

Beautiful Rose Blooming

I have about 6 or 7 rose bush planted in the yard, 3 of them are planted in a pot and out of all of them there is only one rose blooming right now! I am just so in love with the color of this one. I think this is a knock out rose. It is one of the roses that is planted in the pot, there used to be 3 planted in there and the one is dead, the other one is trying to survive. I guess it doesn't like to be crowded in that pot!

This one although the leaves are almost gone, some insects or worm had been eating on it, it is still blooming though! I just love seeing my flowers bloom! I hope the others will bloom too for I love all my roses!

A Fun Way To Interest A Kid Into Gardening

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Miracle-Gro. All opinions are 100% mine.
Both me and my husband loves gardening. In fact, two weeks ago he converted our dog kennel into a greenhouse where he can put his hydroponic plants in it. Right now, he's only have 6 tomatoes growing in there and still planning on building more hydroponic systems for more vegetables that we can eat all year long. As much as we love gardening, we want our two boys to love it as well. Gardening is not only an educational hobby but as well as a very productive one. We have been trying to get our 7-year old interested in gardening. Sometimes he gets interested but after a while he would not care for his plants anymore, so we always ended up taking care of them.

We might have to try a different approach to get him interested in it. I found these fun garden projects to try out from The Gro Project like the Toyarium, Ukulele Garden, Origami Garden, G.Y.O.B. or Thrown Down. The easiest and most fun for a 7-year old would be the Toyarium. To make this project, all you need is a fishbowl or other glass container, your favorite succulents and cactus (we will probably use a venus fly trap on this one since we already have one here at home). You will also need Miracle-Gro potting mix, make sure that it is the Moisture Control since it is gonna be inside a container. Other Miracle-Gro product available for indoor/container gardening is Shake 'n Feed Moisture Control All Purpose Plant Food. For In-ground gardening, you can try the LiquaFeed All Purpose Plant Food Advance Starter Kit.

Back to the materials needed for this project, you will also need any plastic toys or figurines from your kids room, some rocks and lastly a spoon! For the step by step instructions on how to make it, you can click the highlighted "The Gro-Project" above. This will take you to Miracle-Gro's facebook page and you will also see the instructions for the other projects!

Anyhow, if you have your own project that you want to share, you can share them on Miracle-Gro's facebook page and you can also follow their page on Pinterest to check out as a forum for gardeners to come together and share gardening stories! You can also watch this short video enbedded below..

From A Dog Kennel To A Greenhouse!

Two weeks ago my husband converted our over 5 year old dog kennel to a greenhouse! He don't have any experience whatsoever about building a greenhouse except for what he had read on the internet on how to do it. Picture above is what used to be the dog kennel now serves as a greenhouse. I couldn't be any happier than he decided to convert it into something useful! It's been sitting in our yard rusting away since our two German Shepherds were killed in 2009.

Anyhow, here is what my husband is using it for. He's been wanting a greenhouse for how many years to put his hydroponics in and now he's finally got one that he built with his own hands. I tell you, he is proud of it and he should be! I mean it's not the prettiest greenhouse but it is good enough for its purpose! Anyway, below is what's in it right now...He still planning on building more hydroponic system to put inside for lettuces and other vegetables that we can eat all year long!

Hydroponic Tomatoes. My husband built these hydroponic systems from scratch!

Delicious And Healthy Homemade Salad

Salad is always good to eat when you are trying to lose weight. It is even better in my opinion when it is homemade!

Anyway, picture above is what we've (me and my husband) having for the past two days. I actually saw this salad posted on Facebook by one of my friends there. Hers looked really good that I had to asked what was in it. So she told me the ingredients and above is my version of hers. It has Romaine lettuce, red bell peppers, cilantro, carrots, tomatoes, onions, avocado and grilled chicken! And yes it is delicious!

These are just two of my beautiful flowers blooming in my garden right now! Aren't they gorgeous? I could never get tired of taking pictures of them over and over. For me, flowers are one of the most beautiful creations GOD has ever made, don't you agree? I am just so thankful that I am giving the opportunity to see, touch and enjoy these beautiful creations!

Simple But Yet Satisfying!

Picture above is what I had for lunch 2 days ago. I always try to keep frozen Tilapia in stock because aside from it is so easy for me to make something out of it (most of the time I just fry it in the pan), but also my entire family loves this fish even my husband who is a pure American and not such a big fan of seafood! I mean he'll eat seafood but he can do without!

Anyway, as you can see in the picture, I paired this fried Tilapia of course with rice (Filipino meal is not complete without it) and boiled okra. This is what I call a "pinobre" meal but I can eat it everyday! When I posted this picture on Facebook, there are several of my friends there were asking if that okras came from our garden. No it didn't, I just bought it the store frozen. I always like to keep whole frozen okra in stock too for I love to boil and deep in spicy vinegar just like what my mother used to do!

Well, as soon as the weather gets warmer, I mean WARMER like summer warm, we will be planting a bunch of okras because my husband also loves it but he prefers breading and frying it the pan...

Hands Down The Best Internet Security For Me!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Vipre. All opinions are 100% mine.

It's almost been a week since I started using the VIPRE Internet Security and to me, it is the best internet security that I have ever used hands down! I mentioned on my other blog how easy it is to use, no complication whatsoever the first time I used it. I found out more things to love about this internet secuirty scanner.

Aside from not having to worry about your computer slowing down while it is scanning in the background or when it is updating, I also love the fact that when I browse around, it will give me a warning through a pop up window that the site that I just clicked is potentially a treat. I have not seen this feature on any other scanners that I have used before. This scanner is definitely a keeper!
Well what do I expect from an  award-winning antivirus software? The included  firewall, spam filter and website blocking combined into a one powerful solution for complete full protection against malware is what makes it unique from the other scanners in the market today.

If you want to try this software out, you can download the free trial version at Downloading and installing are no hassle at all. You can even do it with eyes close, that's how easy it is!
