Colorful Puto Cheese For Colorful New Year!

I made these puto cheeses this morning for the New Year. Don't they look pretty and so vibrant? I decided to make it to maybe start the 2013 with lots of colors! Basically means happy and vibrant just like what you see in the picture above.

In the Philippines, it is a tradition over there to prepare something that would start the New Year better. What you foods you see on the table will represent something. Like we prepare 13 round fruits over there that would represents a fruitful New Year and for good luck. I don't really know if they really work but that is just how it is done over there.

And I'm trying to keep the tradition over here in the US. I just started this tradition here in the US a year ago. My mother-in-law has her own tradition too like cooking collard greens and black-eyed peas but she doesn't seem to mind that I do our tradition in the Philippines too!

Anyhow, I hope every will have/had a wonderful 2013! And may this new year brings us more LOVE, more PEACE, more HAPPINESS and of course HEALTH!
