Philippine-Like Mango with Hipon or Shrimp Paste

So happy that I finally found Philippine-like Mangoes! I found some at Walmart last week but they were $1.99 each, too expensive for me. So I had to just closed my eyes and walk away from it and told myself that now that summer is here I'll be able to find plenty of it for a reasonable price. Yesterday we went to Sam's Club, I knew they're gonna have it at Sam's and rest assured there they are sold in boxes for $6.98 per box! There are about 15 mangoes in each box so if you calculate it, it's about 46 cents each compare to Walmart at $1.99 each. What a big difference isn't it? And to think that these stores are the same company! I wonder why at Sam's are much cheaper? Oh well, I'm pretty happy!

Anyway, I made sure to get the ones that are not completely ripe yet because they taste much better with hipon or shrimp paste when they are still a little tangy or sour. I ate one last night and picture above is the proof! I enjoyed every bite of it. Too bad I don't have much hipon left. I guess I'll be asking my family to send me some more soon!
