FoodTripFriday #4: Porterhouse Steak...

One of my favorite American foods is a medium-rare steak! The meal in the picture above is what we had for dinner the other night. It's porterhouse steak, tossed salad and Hawaiian roll. It was scrumptious I tell you. If you notice, the Porterhouse steak looks a lot like a T-bone steak it's because they both come from the short loin of the cow but cut differently. The Porterhouse is cut from the end of the short loin and at least 1-1/4 inches across while the T-bone is from the center of the loin and is at least 1/2 inch across.

In my opinion, Porterhouse steak is more tender compare to the T-bone steak and I think much cheaper. We don't eat steak often, probably twice or thrice a month and if we do, I always make sure it's on sale because they are extremely expensive when they're not! Sometimes I really get to crave steak and just want to go to a steakhouse to satisfy my craving which what we do sometimes! The best steak that I ever had in a restaurant was at Chili's Rib-eye steak. Got to go back there soon!!! I'm drooling just thinking about it!
