Handmade Coffee Table Centerpiece!

Picture above is a coffee table centerpiece that I made last week. Flowers and butterflies always adds beauty to ones home no matter if they're fake or real. These materials that I used to make this centerpiece all came from Goodwill except for the butterfly. Total cost including the butterfly is around 5 bucks. When I saw the potpourri dish at Goodwill for 2 dollars, I knew that I got to have it coz I could make something out of it. So above is what I came up with. It's so very easy to make. Below is the step by step on how I made this centerpiece!

Okay, first thing I did was gathered all the materials to make the centerpiece. I only had the potpourri dish, styrofoam ball, artificial flowers and glue gun. You don't really have to copy exactly what I got on here, you can use anything you desire...

Next, I cut the styrofoam ball in half so it would lay flat in the dish and then glued it in it. See picture below...

Okay, now this is the fun part but I wanna say something first before proceeding. I would have covered the styrofoam with artificial moss but I did not have any available. I advice anybody to use moss so that the styrofoam wouldn't show. Anyway continuing to the topic, what I did is picked out a flower to be the center and then working down until the styroafoam ball is covered. You can arrange the flowers however you want it!

And then finally, the finished product below...Don't you think it's cute? I know that I made this but I really like it!

Yesterday while I was out, I bought more artificial flowers and added some more on my centerpiece. This is what it looks like now...I like it even better!

I knew it!

So mad right now! I just received a shipment information from Guess where I had bought those handbags that I posted here last night. Of course the White Crossbody bag that I bought for 12 bucks was out of stock like I feared it would! Gosh, I don't know why they don't keep up with their stocks and not let anybody's hope gets high! I knew it was gonna happen because right after I'd paid for them, it immediately said out of stock! Grrrrrrr, so maddd!

Another Bargains!

I found two really good bargains online tonight. Thanks to a friend on FB for posting the link on there. It was a brand name puffer coat that was on sale $16.99, regular price was over a hundred dollars. I did not buy it for myself, God knows how many winter coats I've got already. I haven't even worn some of them, still sealed and price tag still attached. Anyway I bought it to resell online. As you all know, one of my sideline as a stay-home mom is sell used and new stuff online. I love browsing and finding some good deals and reselling it! The second bargains that I found are handbags. I happened to check the site and was just gonna look what's on sale. But then I found these two very pretty Guess handbags, one was on sale for 34 bucks, regular price was over 70 bucks and the other one was for 12 bucks regular price was 40 bucks! Can't wait to get them and putting it on Ebay! Anyway, pictures below are the two Guess handbags that I just bought...
This is the one that I bought for 12 bucks...it's saying it's out of stock after I paid for it! Hopefully I got the last one...

I really love this one...unfortunately I couldn't keep it for myself. I already got too many handbags and I want to get my money back so I can pay my debts..LOL!

3DS Skin and Case...

Me and my husband got my 5 year old son a Nintendo 3DS for Christmas and a couple of games to go with it. Of course he thinks it's from Santa but anyway, I don't know what I was thinking that I did not get him a case for it so that it will be protected from scratches. Expensive toys like that does need a protection. We won't be able to afford to get another one if anything has to happen to it. So far my 5 year old is doing a great job taking care of his toy. I haven't seen a single scratch on it. But I am not waiting for it to get scratches, so yesterday I finally bought him a 3ds skin and a clear casing that I am so sure he'll love.

He is so crazy about Super Mario, that's two of the games that he has on his DS. I wasn't planning on buying a skin but a case. When I was browsing last night on Amazon, I came across on this Super Mario skin for DS! I almost had a heart attack when I saw it! I immediately added it in my cart and bought the clear casing to go with it. It would be a nice little surprise for my son when he comes home from school. The two items are on it's way here, can't wait to get it and put it on his DS!

Crafting again!

It's been so long since I did some crafting. Today, I woke up in the mood to do some crafts. But I was thinking that it will be a lot of mess, do I really feel like cleaning up the mess? Well, I did not wanna do it at first but then I got to looking of the jars and bottles that I was saving for something. Then my mind was racing a hundred miles per minutes as to what I'll make using those jars and bottles. LOL! So the picture below is what I have came up with...

What I did first was rinsed the jars/bottles with green acrylic paint inside to put a little color in it. So they're not pure clear anymore, they have a little color in them. Then I added the lace and ribbon using a glue gun. As you can see I had stamped one of the bottle which I really love how it looks. And then I finished them with embellishments.

His Two Months Old!

I can't believe that it has been Two months ago since I have given birth to my youngest son. He turned two months old today at 10:19 am! Amazing how time fly so quick! Kids these days grow up so quick. I didn't even realize how much my first born had grown until I gave birth to my youngest son. It feels like I've missed half of my first born's childhood. He'll be 6 years old this year. I don't know what happened but I don't remember much of his baby days. It's like my first 4 years here in America were blurred. I do not want that to happen to my second son, so I'm gonna keep a close eye on him. I sure don't want to miss a single time of him growing up!

Moving Back to Memphis

Guest post of the week by Brittany Booker

I grew up in Memphis, so I was really excited when I had the chance to move back. I really missed my family and friends and was so happy that I would be able to see them all the time. Flying home every once in a while just didn’t give me enough time to see and spend time with everyone I wanted to. It was hard for me living so far away from home so I was al over the place thinking about all of the things I was going to do when I got back to Memphis. My husband and I found a great house in a fabulous neighborhood and got hooked up with ADT Security Memphis right away. I didn’t think we really needed it but my husband was worried about keeping our home safe. He thinks I have a false sense of security living in my hometown. I guess he might be somewhat right about that. It just feels so good to be home that I’m not worried about the little things. I’m lucky that I have a conscientious husband who takes care of all of the boring stuff, because if he left it all up to me things would be very different and disorganized.

I ♥ my BOYS!

Pictures above are my two lovely boys playing! Big brother was giving some kisses to his 'lil bro! These pictures were taken this morning. I took so many that I had to picked out what I thought are the best shots of them and put them together.

Anyway, I am so amazed of how my first born is not jealous at all of his little brother. I know it's normal to have a little jealousy but he doesn't have any at all. He adores his brother so much and you can see it the way he looks at him. I know for sure there will be time that sibling rivalry will happen between them two but that's gonna be a long time from now. For the meantime he enjoys playing with his little brother and I am so glad that my youngest son is in the stage where he'll responds to you if you play with him. He'll give you this sweetest and priceless smile. And that's enough to please the older brother!

Those two boys above are my life and the reasons why I am still holding on, although sometimes I just wanna give up! But thanks to them for giving me the strength and of course GOD! I l♥ve my boys so much!

So Unprofessional!

I am just so upset about the jewelries that I ordered yesterday! After I had purchased it, minutes later I received an email from them saying that they have shipped the necklaces and provided a tracking number for it. I was very excited about for they shipped it really quick. But few minutes later, they sent  me another email saying there has been an error. That one of the necklace was actually out of stock and it was the one that I wanted really bad! Talking about getting so upset, oh I was pissed!
Now, my question is why did they send me a shipping confirmation if one of the item is out of stock? Shouldn't they check it first? I thought it's very unprofessional for their part! I wanted to just cancel the other one but it's already shipped and had left their factory or warehouse or wherever. I guess I won't be buying from them again!

Show your support for Walgreens!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens. All opinions are 100% mine.

As what I have read online, Express Scripts is basically a bunch of pharmacies that are joined together, 79 pharmacies to be exact. It is a pharmacy benefit manager that provides services to manage drug plans for government agencies both administrator of employee benefits as well as public assistance programs, corporations and unions. One of it's largest clients is the United States Department of Defense's Tricare program which I will explain later on this post.

Back to the main topic. Evidently, Express Scripts Inc. has decided to end it's tie to Walgreens which caused to upset thousands of customers. Why they're getting upset? Because this action is causing disruption with no significant benefit to patients and their health plans. It also forces them not only to have to change pharmacies but also to drive farther to fill their prescriptions to other pharmacies with less convenient hours. This is why over 250,000 Tricare supporters petition Express Script (Walgreens and Express Scripts) on behalf of Walgreens to continue the contract which has expired on December 31st of last year.

Now let me explain a little bit about Tricare or formerly know as the Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Uniformed Services. This is a health care program of the United States Department of Defense Military Heath System that provides civilian health benefits for military personnel, retirees and their dependents and some of their reserve component. Walgreens is part of the Tricare pharmacy network. It means if Walgreens is not part of this network anymore it will also affect those in uniforms! Walgreens has repeatedly offered to remain in the Tricare pharmacy network through proposals to Express Scripts to prevent disruption to military personnel, families and retirees. These proposals would protect Tricare member choice of Walgreens and provide savings to the program and taxpayers.

Walgreens wants to help by offering a special discount on annual membership for its Prescription Savings Club at Walgreens! You can help too by supporting Walgreens and voicing your dissatisfaction by clicking this Walgreens on Twitter and Walgreens on Facebook. This is the kind of news that really needs to get out and needs to read by many!

Love Note for my 5 year old son!

I was going through my son's backpack when he came home from school today. I wanted to see if his teacher sent his report card since they were giving it out yesterday but my son didn't go to school yesterday. I checked his backpack pocket and saw this tiny folded paper! When I unfolded it, what I read written on it tickled me so much. "I love you David from Gracie" is what is written on this piece of paper with a drawing of a boy and a girl holding hands together! I thought it was so cute. I find this so humorous but I don't dare tease my son about it because it might embarrass him so bad that he don't want to talk about girls to us.

Kinda like what happened to my hubby when he was his age. His parents teased him really bad about this girl that it embarrassed him that he didn't talk to them about girls. I do not want that happen to my son! Of course this is not serious, just little kids playing around and do not know what they're saying! But I thought this was so cute. Picture below is the actual love note!

One of the Crappiest Day!

Today is one of the crappiest days of my life. My son had missed his school today and they were gonna bring their report cards home with them but he didn't get his because he wasn't at his class! This is the kind of day that sometimes I wish I don't exist! The only reasons why I'm still holding myself together are my kids! Without them my life has no meaning!

School Day on Saturday!

My son already told us the other day that they're going to have a school day this coming Saturday. It's to make up for the day they've missed when the school was closed the other day due to the snow. The school also called us via automated phone calls to confirm it. I do not like the idea to having to get up so early on Saturdays but nothing I can do about it. Saturday is the only day that I do not have to get up really early because Sunday is church day and we do have to get up early since the mass always starts at 9am in the morning. Oh well doesn't really matter, more important is my child's education!

Almost to the Single Digit Temperature!

Oh my...our temperature outside right now is two degrees away from being a single digit temperature. Now that is freaking cold!!!! That's not even the word for it! I have not been outside but I'm pretty sure it would be an ass-freezing cold outside! LOL! I can't even get myself warm up inside the house which the temperature is 67 degrees, not much of a heat wave! Our electric heater has been on all day on high but seems like the temperature has not gone up at all! I am really hoping that my son won't have any school tomorrow. I sure would hate to send him to school with this kind of weather! BRRRR!!

Freaking Headache!

I hate when I get headache especially if I have tons of things that I need to do! I still couldn't take just any medicine for I am breastfeeding my son. Right now I got tons of laundry that I need to finish. I only got two loads done and still got more to go! I doubt if I'll be able to finish it tonight...there's just too many of them..they're probably a months a worth! Ughhh...I get so lazy sometimes that I wait and wait until it piles up so high that I couldn't stand it! I'm gonna have to divide it..coz my head is killing me right now and I hate folding clothess!
